Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about selling your clearance stock, job lots, and surplus inventory to us. If your question is not covered here, get in touch and we will be happy to help.
Getting Started
How do I get started selling my clearance stock?
Getting started is simple. Fill out our contact form or email us with details about your stock — what products you have, approximate quantities, and their condition. We will review your information and come back to you within 24 hours with a fair, no-obligation offer. There is no paperwork to fill in upfront and no commitment required. You can also read our how it works page for a step-by-step breakdown of the entire process.
What information do I need to provide to get a quote?
Tell us the type of products, the approximate quantity or number of pallets, the condition of the stock (new, used, returns, damaged packaging), and your location. Photos are helpful but not essential. The more detail you share, the faster and more accurate our offer will be. If you are unsure how to value your stock, try our free stock valuation calculator or read our guide on how to value clearance stock.
Is there a minimum quantity you will buy?
We typically buy stock in bulk — full pallets, job lots, or large quantities. There is no strict minimum, but as a rough guide, deals starting from around 50 units or a single pallet tend to work best for both sides. If you have a smaller quantity of high-value items, get in touch anyway and we will see what we can do.
How quickly will I receive an offer?
In most cases we will come back to you within 24 hours of receiving your enquiry. For straightforward stock with good photos and descriptions, we can often respond the same day. Larger or more complex lots may take a little longer to assess, but we always aim to be as fast as possible because we know speed matters when you are clearing stock.
Do I need to bring the stock to you?
No. We offer free collection from your warehouse, shop, office, or storage unit anywhere in the UK. You do not need to bring anything to us. We arrange all transport and logistics at our cost. Check our areas we cover page to see if we operate near you. If you prefer to deliver the stock yourself, that is also fine — but it is entirely your choice.
What We Buy
What types of stock do you buy?
We buy a wide range of clearance stock including electronics, phone accessories, cables, chargers, household goods, beauty products, health and wellness items, toys, baby products, tools, clothing, footwear, and general merchandise. Visit our what we buy page for the full list. If you have stock to clear, chances are we will be interested.
Do you buy customer returns and opened items?
Yes, we regularly buy customer returns, opened boxes, and items with damaged packaging. We understand that returns are a normal part of retail and we have channels to resell these products. Just be upfront about the condition and we will factor it into our offer fairly.
Will you buy damaged or faulty stock?
It depends on the type and extent of the damage. We can often buy stock with cosmetic damage, damaged packaging, or minor faults. Completely non-functional goods are harder to work with, but we will always consider what you have. Send us the details and we will let you know if we can make an offer.
Do you buy food or perishable goods?
Generally, no. We do not buy fresh food, chilled goods, or anything with a very short shelf life. However, if you have ambient, long-life food products or drinks with reasonable best-before dates, we may be able to help. Get in touch with the specifics and we will advise.
Can I sell you a mixed lot of different products?
Absolutely. Mixed lots are one of the most common types of clearance stock we buy. Whether it is a mixed pallet of electronics and household goods or a container of assorted product lines, we are happy to assess the lot and make you an offer for the whole thing. Read more about selling mixed stock on our sell clearance stock page.
Do you buy end-of-line or discontinued products?
Yes. End-of-line stock, discontinued ranges, and superseded product lines are perfect for us. These are exactly the type of goods we specialise in. Learn more on our end-of-line stock page. Retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers regularly sell us end-of-line inventory when they need to make room for new ranges.
Pricing & Payment
How do you calculate your offers?
We base our offers on several factors: the type of product, its retail value, the condition of the stock, the quantity available, current market demand, and how quickly we can resell it. You can get a rough estimate using our stock valuation calculator. We aim to offer a fair price that works for both sides. Our offers are transparent and we are happy to explain how we arrived at a figure.
How fast do you pay?
We aim to pay within 24 hours of agreeing a deal. In many cases, payment is made the same day. We pay by bank transfer, which means the money lands in your account quickly. We understand that when you are clearing stock, cash flow matters, and we never drag our feet on payment.
Can I negotiate on price?
Our initial offers are always fair and based on genuine market data, but we are open to discussion. If you have information that you think should affect the price — for example, if the stock includes higher-value items than we initially assessed — let us know and we will revisit. We would rather do a deal that works for both sides than lose out over a small difference.
Are there any fees or hidden costs?
No. There are no listing fees, collection charges, commissions, or hidden costs of any kind. The price we agree is the price you receive. We also cover the cost of collection and transport, so the full amount goes straight into your account.
Do you offer better rates for larger quantities?
Yes, larger lots generally attract better per-unit pricing because they are more efficient for us to process and resell. If you have a full warehouse clearance, a container load, or ongoing stock to shift regularly, we can often offer premium rates. Regular suppliers also benefit from our established relationships and priority service.
Collection & Logistics
Is collection really free?
Yes, 100%. We arrange and pay for collection at no cost to you. Whether you are in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, or anywhere else in the UK, we will send a vehicle to pick up your stock. The collection cost is built into how we do business — it is not deducted from your payment.
Do you collect from anywhere in the UK?
Yes, we collect from all across England, Scotland, and Wales. We have collected stock from major cities, small towns, industrial estates, and even residential addresses. Check our areas we cover page for a list of locations. No location is too remote. If you have stock to sell, we will come and get it.
Who arranges the transport?
We handle everything. Once a deal is agreed, our logistics team will arrange a suitable vehicle and a collection time that works for you. For full pallet loads, we use curtain-siders or box vans. For smaller quantities, we may use a standard van. You do not need to organise anything — just have the stock ready for us.
How quickly can you collect after a deal is agreed?
We aim to collect within 48 to 72 hours of agreeing a deal, depending on location and vehicle availability. For urgent clearances — such as a warehouse that needs to be emptied by a certain date — we can often fast-track collection. Let us know your timeline and we will do our best to accommodate it.
Can I deliver the stock to you instead?
Yes, if you prefer to deliver the stock yourself, you are welcome to do so. We will provide you with the delivery address and arrange a time slot. Some sellers find this more convenient if they have their own transport or if the stock is relatively small. Either way works for us.
Legal & Admin
What paperwork is involved?
Very little. For most deals, we simply need a description of the stock, agreed price, and your bank details for payment. We will issue a purchase confirmation or invoice once the deal is done. There is no lengthy contract or complicated admin — we keep things simple and professional.
Do you buy from individuals as well as companies?
Yes, we buy from both. Whether you are a limited company clearing warehouse stock, a sole trader closing a shop, or an individual with surplus inventory from a failed business venture, we are happy to work with you. The process is the same regardless.
Are you VAT registered?
Yes, we are a VAT-registered business. If you are also VAT registered, we can handle the transaction accordingly and provide a VAT invoice. If you are not VAT registered, that is fine too — we work with businesses of all sizes and structures.
Do I get a receipt or proof of sale?
Yes. Every transaction comes with written confirmation of the deal, including the stock description, agreed price, and payment details. You will also have a bank transfer record as proof of payment. If you need a formal invoice for your accounts, we are happy to provide one.
